Research interests 

  • soil origin and transformation in relation to soil forming factors in various latitude and altitude zones,
  • development of soil classification, including international systems, in particular World Reference Base for Soil Resources (WRB),
  • soil properties and productivity of forest and agro-ecosystems,
  • soil degradation and remediation,
  • soil health and monitoring of soil quality.
