The ISEB is an international organization promoting free interchange of scientific information among geochemists, microbiologists, mineralogists, geologists, soil scientists, biologists, limnologists, oceanographers, atmospheric scientists, and any other professionals with an interest in environmental biogeochemistry/geomicrobiology. The ISEB 15 is dedicated to explore and discuss contemporary and emerging results, and will provide a forum for distinguished leading scientists, young researchers and students to present their most recent findings, that can stimulate progress and development of the future research. Your participation in the ISEB 15 will afford you to become engaged in one of the most established and definitive interdisciplinary forum devoted to understanding the intricate physical, chemical and biological nature of the Earth system.

During the ISEB15, the most recent advancements in the environmental biochemistry will be discussed on oral and poster sessions organized in 7 topics and 2 workshops. Over 250 colleagues from 47 countries have confirmed their attendance at the meeting - 56 oral papers, including 18 keynote lectures, and around 150 posters will be presented by distinguished leading scientists as well as young researches. The art-of-the–state presentations will be given by renowned specialists at 2 workshops: Trace Elements and MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether) Remediation. We are convinced that the ISEB15 will be an excellent opportunity for all of you to get together and discuss matters of mutual interests, that can stimulate the progress and development of future research in the environmental biogeochemistry.

I have a strong believe that Wroclaw Meeting will provide a good atmosphere for all of you to meet, make new friendships, and combine an exciting professional exchange of recent findings and ideas with the memorable experience of the charm and hospitality of Poland. We hope that you will also be able to enjoy the natural beauty of Lower Silesia and Wroclaw, and will share with us the feeling that science, art and history are three aspects of the same common human universal culture.

Welcome to Poland!
